Gold Pickaxes are a type of Pickaxe that can be crafted through 
Blacksmithing for the price of 4 
Gold Ingots (starting at 
22) via the Anvil in front of The 
Blacksmith's forge.Alternatively, Gold Pickaxes can be purchased from the
Blacksmith for 
4,000t, after having reached The Lava Caves.Stats Comparison
The improvement in material used in forging the Gold Pickaxe, from the 
Silver Pickaxe provides an increased maximum charged range (6x6 tiles from The Player) , compared to the Silver Pickaxe's (3x6 tiles from The Player).
Pickaxe Uses
Gold Pickaxes (like all Pickaxes) can be used in 
Mining to break apart 
Rocks both around Mistria and in The Mines. Pickaxes can also be useful for 
Archaeology, as they can be used to dig up Dig Spots.
Gold Pickaxes can also break apart larger rocks (like the 3x3 Rock in The Narrows).

When crafting, it is possible for Gold Pickaxes to receive the following infusion:

Lightweight: Chance to drop stamina orbs when used. Requires the 
Lightweight Blacksmithing Skill.
Infusion Chance
If the required Skill Perk is enabled, the chances of getting any one infusion is 15%.
- If the
Empowered I Skill is unlocked, this chance rises to 20%. - If the
Empowered II Skill is unlocked, this chance rises to ?%.
Crafting Time Reductions
It is possible to reduce the crafting time of the Gold Pickaxe with certain Skill Perks.
Time Sensitive I Skill: reduces the crafting time of all blacksmithing recipes by 10 minutes. New crafting time: 
30m
Time Sensitive II Skill: reduces the crafting time by an additional 10 minutes for a total of 20 minutes. New crafting time: 20m
Time Sensitive III Skill: reduces the crafting time by an additional 10 minutes for a total of 30 minutes. New crafting time: 10m
Time Sensitive IV Skill: reduces the crafting time by an additional 10 minutes for a total of 40 minutes. New crafting time: 0m
