Blacksmithing for the price of 4 
Iron Ingots (starting at 
10) via the Anvil in front of The 
Blacksmith's forge.Alternatively, Iron Axes can be purchased from the
Blacksmith for 
2,000t, after having reached The Tide Caverns.Stats Comparison
The improvement in material used in forging the Iron Axe, from the 
Copper Axe provides an increased maximum charged range (3x3 tiles from The Player) , compared to the Copper Axe's (3x1 tiles from The Player).
Axe Uses
Iron Axes (like all Axes) can be used for cutting down Trees, and helping clear space at The Farm, as well as collecting 
Wood.
Iron Axes can also be used to cut down Big Stumps to further clear space at The Farm, as well as collecting 
Hardwood .

Lightweight: Chance to drop stamina orbs when used. Requires the 
Lightweight Blacksmithing Skill.
Infusion Chance
If the required Skill Perk is enabled, the chances of getting any one infusion is 15%.

Empowered I Skill is unlocked, this chance rises to 20%. - If the
Empowered II Skill is unlocked, this chance rises to ?%.
Crafting Time Reductions
It is possible to reduce the crafting time of the Iron Axe with certain Skill Perks.
Time Sensitive I Skill: reduces the crafting time of all blacksmithing recipes by 10 minutes. New crafting time:

Time Sensitive II Skill: reduces the crafting time by an additional 10 minutes for a total of 20 minutes. New crafting time: 20m
Time Sensitive III Skill: reduces the crafting time by an additional 10 minutes for a total of 30 minutes. New crafting time: 10m
Time Sensitive IV Skill: reduces the crafting time by an additional 10 minutes for a total of 40 minutes. New crafting time: 0m
