Mimics are monsters encountered in The Mines.

Strategy

Since Mimics do not attack The Player until interacted with, the player can avoid combat entirely by throwing (default is ( g key ) on PC) an item near a dormant Mimic, which results in the item being consumed. In return, the Mimic drops an item and disappears.

Known Loot (On Feeding)

The number of items received can be doubled with the  Gift Exchange Skill, the items received can be two of the same, or two different items.

The loot received when feeding Mimic corresponds to the Biome the player encounters the Mimic in, for example;

• Mimic in The Upper Mines will give furniture items from the >Mineshaft Set of furniture, and  Scrap Metal Armor, while
• Mimic in The Deep Earth will give furniture items from the >Cavern Set of furniture, and  Crystal Armor.
