Like the other Accessory Slot Armor equipment, there is no cosmetic form.
Aside from their use as Equipment, Scrap Metal Rings can also be used to complete certain Quests.

How to Obtain

Scrap Metal Rings can sometimes be found in Treasure Chests, or dropped after feeding Mimics in The Upper Mines, if The Player has the Well Armed Skill.

The number of items received when feeding Mimics can be doubled with the Gift Exchange Skill, which may help increase the likelyhood of receiving the Scrap Metal Rings.
