Possible Spoiler Warning

This page contains content and information from Version v0.15.0. This could be considered spoilers. View at your own discretion.

Within Fields of Mistria Tools are used along side many of the worlds' skills, for example Worn hoe.png Hoes and Worn watering can.png Watering Cans alongside Farming icon.png Farming, or Worn pickaxe.png Pickaxes when Mining icon.png Mining.

Generally Tools are acquired through The Player forging them through Blacksmithing icon.png Blacksmithing, or by purchasing them when they are unlocked through game progression (usually from the Blacksmith icon.png Blacksmith), however some are exclusively received as part of Quests story icon.png Story Quests.

Basic Mechanics

Charged Tools

Pressing and holding the Charged Tool button (default is Icon of the left button ( left click+hold) on PC) while an applicable Tool is equipped, allows The Player to perform the Tool's use over a greater area. E.g. pressing and holding the Charged Tool button (default is Icon of the left button ( left click+hold) on PC) with a Gold watering can.png Gold Watering Can equipped, allows The Player to water 36 tiles at once.

For Iron Fishing Rod.png Fishing Rods, this charged range is their casting distance (in a straight line) from The Player rather than as an area.

Worn net.png Bug Nets originally did not feature charging, but this was changed in v0.15.0 alongside bug capture mechanics.

Infused Tools

When The Player creates their own Tools (with the exception of Worn Fishing Rod.png Fishing Rods), the tool has a chance to be created with:

Infusion Chance

If the required Skill Perk is enabled, the chances of getting any one infusion is 15%.

  • If the Empowered i.png Empowered I is unlocked, this chance rises to 20%.
  • If the Empowered ii.png Empowered II is unlocked, this chance rises to ?%.
