Rockclod main.png Clods are monsters encountered in The Mines. There are two main types, Rock Clods and Ore Clods.

Strategy

This monster only has a ranged attack. Touching the Clod causes no damage. It will shoot projectiles at The Player that cannot pass through rocks and other barriers. Use your surroundings to your advantage and stay moving. A 'strike and retreat, repeat' strategy works.
The most effective attack is to reflect the projectiles back at the Clod with your Worn Sword.png Sword.
Alternatively, The Player can use their Worn Net.png Bug Net to catch the projectile.

Note:For Oreclods, despite appearances the projectile is a Stone.png Stone, and not the ore type associated with the Oreclod

Variations in Strategy

Rockclod blue.png Fires two projectiles rapidly instead of just one.

Ironclod.png Fires three projectiles in a cone shape. It is possible to reflect all projectiles back for maximum damage.

Silverclod.png Has a 40% chance of firing a Clod bomb.png bomb towards The Player. The bomb can be caught using the Worn Net.png Bug Net and thrown back at the monster.

Rockclod green.png Doesn't fire any projectiles. It launches itself towards The Player instead. To defeat it, The Player needs to hit it with their Worn Sword.png Sword as it's flying towards them.

Goldclod.png Fires a single projectile that splits into two twice when it reaches a certain distance.

Rockclod red.png Fires projectiles as it spins in a circle. When defeated, projectiles explode from the Rockclod in a circle.

Trivia

  • When you hit a Clod with it's own projectile, it will take the same damage as whatever sword you are using.
