Farming is a skill that's used to plant, grow, and harvest crops on the farm. It's the main source of income and source of most of the ingredients for cooking.

Growing Crops

Crops

To grow crops or flowers, there must first be tillable soil. The shovel can be used to create or clear away tillable soil tiles. A hoe is then used to till the soil for the seeds to be planted in and watered with the watering can. Crops need to be watered each day until they're ready for harvest, else they will not progress in growth.

Seeds can be purchased from the General Store and are sometimes given as Quest rewards. They can also be obtained with the Prepared picker.png Prepared Picker Skill while foraging, or with the Bountiful.png Bountiful Skill when watering existing crops on the farm.

Seasonal crops will wither at the end of the last day of the season and will need to be cleared out using the sword before planting again.

Fruit Trees

The Player can also obtain fruit tree saplings from the General Store to plant on their farm. The saplings in stock will vary depending on the current season, and will need a completely clear 3x3 square space around it to be planted.

They will take data-sort-value="14">Clock icon.png 14 Days to mature and fruit, but do not require watering and continue to produce 3 new fruit every data-sort-value="3">Regrow icon.png 3 Days during their fruiting season. At the end of the season the fruit tree will stop producing fruit until the next year.
